Its infusion is used for sexual disorders, rheumatism, as well as for various female diseases. The popular name of the plant "motherboard", characteristic of the Slavic languages, is not accidental and reflects the high efficiency of the plant in the treatment of disorders of the female genital area.

Oregano preparations are effective for diseases of the central nervous system, neuroses, epilepsy, with increased sexual excitability, insomnia, paralysis, asthenic syndromes. In such cases, the infusion of oregano is taken orally and rubbing or taking baths from the herb infusion.

This plant is used in folk medicine as an external pain reliever, as well as for strengthening and aromatic baths (50 g of herbs per 10 liters of water) and compresses. Outwardly, oregano herb is used for edema, furunculosis, eczema, for washing wounds, for pustular skin diseases and diathesis in the form of lotions, compresses and therapeutic baths. It is used for rinsing with gingivitis, diabetic periodontal disease, as well as for washing the head and rinsing in case of allergies, psoriasis, zema, hair loss, dandruff, migraine or insomnia.

For a long time in folk medicine, infusion of oregano is used for gout, rheumatism, kidney damage.

Oregano herb infusion used for menopause, diabetes mellitus, impotence, neurosis (a tablespoon of crushed raw materials is poured with a glass of boiling water, infused for 30 minutes, filtered, taken half a glass three times a day before meals).

A decoction of leaves in folk medicine is used for certain diseases of the respiratory tract, as a sedative and diaphoretic (boil 15 g of dried herbs in a glass of water and take 1 tablespoon three times a day).

Taking a decoction inside eliminates bad breath, strengthens the gums in diabetic periodontal disease, regulates carbohydrate metabolism, especially in women in menopause, therefore it is used in recipes for fees specifically for patients with diabetes mellitus of this category.

Tea. Mix 3-4 parts of the fruits and leaves of the rose hips, one part each of the fruits of mountain ash and oregano herb. Crush dry fruits. Dried sprigs of oregano are used usually from one and a half to three years, it all depends on the room - the drier it is, the sprigs are stored, as a rule, longer and vice versa.
